Speed test

Hi and welcome to the speed test section.
Why should you do a speed test ?.

Example... you're paying Virgin Media £100 a month for the best internet in the world.
So why is your IPTV Buffering...

Simple.
Just because your router is giving out 100 Mbps internet, that doesn't mean your Firestick is receiving it.

To test what speed your Amazon Firestick is receiving, go to your IPTV App and go to Speed test which should be in settings

You will see something similar to this.

As you can see in the picture above, the Ping is very high.
Ping
This is the distance away from the server.
Or a very weak test signal.

Download Speed
The download speed is the actual speed of your internet that is getting to the firestick. In the above picture it's 33.72 Mbps, which is more than fine.
So why is it still buffering.
Have a look at the upload speed...

Upload Speed
The upload in the picture is only 0.38mbps
this is so low it almost doesn't register.
Upload speed is just as important and download speed.
Upload speed allows the app to talk to the server, i.e. what channel you're watching, what part of the program or channel you're on etc ...
Most importantly, keeping you in sync.
If the app can't speak to the server, it will just pause (circle of death) until it gets a response and catches up to where it should be.
